Bilateral Agreements
Maritime Transport

In April 2003, HKSARG signed an Agreement on Maritime Transport with Ukraine to strengthen economic relations between the two places and the cooperation in the field of maritime transport.

The Agreement covers general cooperation in maritime transport, including promotion of sea trade, mutual recognition of seaman's identity documents, and measures to facilitate maritime traffic. It also includes the most favoured nation treatment which enables Hong Kong ships to enjoy preferential port dues when calling on Ukrainian ports. The Agreement has entered into force on 21 April 2004 after the Ukrainian Government notified the HKSARG of the completion of the necessary legal procedures on 22 March 2004.
